WELCOME TO THE NIGHTTIME CLUB
July 12 :: Portland Train Station :: 9:00 pm

RIDING WITH THE NIGHTTIME CLUB
See the city at night - by bike!  When you ride with the Nighttime Club, you see the city in a whole new light.  Come on a nighttime adventure to see dramatic cityscape views, flaming entertainers and glowing hula-hoopers.  Blinking signs will guide you through this flat, well-marked course on a journey like no other.  Sure, you like sleep, but rest up while you can because on July 12th there's no turning in early with all the excitement we've got planned for you.

DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION
What a deal! You can save $5 when you register in-store at the following locations:
Bike Gallery, Bike N' Hike, Weir's Cyclery.  Weir's Cyclery is a new addition to The Nighttime club, and a convenient location for those of you in St. John's or far north Portland.  But hurry!  This special discount ends when the stores close on Sunday, July 6th.

FILMED BY BIKE REST STOP
Roll onto the open field and grab a seat and some fresh popcorn - it's movie time! Filmed by Bike is a film festival that features bicycle-themed short movies, and we've got an exclusive opportunity to show some of the movies at The Night Ride! We're creating a gigantic theater with an enormous screen in a secluded North Portland field for the Filmed by Bike movie rest stop, hosted by Weir's Cyclery, a St. John's bike shop. All of the movies are under eight minutes, so you can watch a few quickies then move on to the next rest stop.

Oh and by the way, Filmed by Bike is giving away free DVDs of their 2008 festival at the start line, so come in your best costume and vie for a prize.

DISCO PARTY AT THE CANDY SHACK

Trick or treat without supervision - shove handfuls of candy in your face and then use that sugar buzz to boogie, hustle or electric slide across the dance floor; disco ball, fog machines, strobe lights and hula hoops included. With the help of this rest stop's sponsor, Bike N' Hike, we're transforming a parking lot into a dance disco party for an outdoor dance scene like you've never seen before.

Start practicing your electric slide, do teh hustle, watch a little Saturday Night fever and get ready for this groovy stop on the ride. The retro music will be pumping as you take a break from spinning your wheels to watch spinning disco balls amid the night sky.

FINISH LINE DOUGHNUT FEAST
Mmmmmmmmmmmm.....doughnuts

Indulge yourself at the all-you-can-eat midnight doughnut feast. Can't decide between an éclair and a maple bar - have both! (we won't tell).  After sweeping through North Portland on your nighttime adventure, you'll land back at the Portland Train Station for rows and rows of doughnuts.  Choose whatever you want, however many you want, and end the night on a tasty note.

COME IN COSTUME - GET FREE STUFF
Our Start Up Party at the Train Station is hosted by the Bike Gallery and we'll be giving away free Fun Reflectors to all riders who come in costume.  Fun Reflectors made a custom reflector just for the Nighttime Club that features an "arrange your own" set of moon and stars to put on your bike or helmet for nighttime safety and fun.

We're also giving away prizes for the best costume.  Our roving team of judges will be seeking out the very best costumes.  You can win tickets on Amtrak, passes to The Hottest Day of the Year Ride on August 3rd, Filmed by Bike DVDs and more.  So come dressed to impress and have fun with your costume.  Need a little inspiration?  Check our our gallery from the 2007 ride for some of our favorites.
