WELCOME TO THE NIGHTTIME CLUB
July 12 :: Portland Train Station :: 9:00 pm

SEE THE CITY AT NIGHT, BY BIKE
The Night Ride is an incredible opportunity to see the city at night, by bike.  Don't worry about getting lost, bored, hungry or thirsty, we'll take care of all of that for you.  We've got water along the way, course markings, course marshal volunteers and plenty of nighttime indulgences like candy, popcorn and doughnuts.

The views along the way are simply spectacular. You'll get a broad vista of the city lights twinkling on the river as you ride along the bluffs of Willamette Blvd. We'll take on the Peninsula Crossing Trail for a quiet path through North Portland. You'll journey alongside the Columbia Slough. But at the end, it's a straight shot back into downtown Portland so you can get to the all-you-can-eat finish line doughnut feast. Yum!

SUPPORT THE BTA WHILE HAVING FUN
The Bicycle Transportation Alliance is doing valuable work to make the roads across Oregon safer for cyclists. When you join us on The Night Ride, you are supporting their good work while having fun. This has got to be the very best way to raise support for a good cause.

Some of you are already BTA members so you know that the BTA works hard throughout the year to lobby in Salem, advocate for better infrastructure and to educate children on bike safety, but if you're not a BTA member, this ride is a chance to learn more.

All those bike lanes out there? Thank the BTA.  And the easiest way to thank them is to join us on Saturday's ride.

THE GROOVIEST RIDE
The Night Ride is the grooviest ride around with great features throughout the course.  Start practicing your electric slide, study the moves of Saturday Night Fever and get ready for the Disco Party Rest Stop.  The disco balls will be spinning and the great music flowing as you step out onto a dance floor set in a parking lot in North Portland.

We're showing a special screening of bike-themed movie shorts from the Filmed by Bike film festival.  This Portland-based festival features short movies from around the world.  And yes, of course, there will be fresh popped-on-site bags of popcorn.

And all throughout the ride you'll encounter fire dancers, live music and surprises.

YUMMIES AND GIVEAWAYS

This ride is all about nighttime indulgences We'll make sure your bike is well lit with glow necklaces for you and Tirefly wheel lights for your bike. Riders with the best costumes can qualify for great prizes, including Amtrak tickets, ride passes and Filmed by Bike DVDs. Just check in at the costume contest tent between 8 and 8:30.

After your night of riding, we'll round things out with an all-you-can-eat doughnut finish line feast back at the train station.  Can't decide between a cruller and a maple frosted, a powdered sugar and sprinkle?  Don't worry, tonight you can have them all.
