Portland Train Station

YOU'RE IN THE NIGHTTIME CLUB
If all that daytime riding leaves you wondering what the city looks like at night, maybe it's time you signed up for The Night Ride. Come along on Portland's only nighttime ride for spectacular cityscape views and a chance to cruise past hootin' and hollerin' night life - your very own cheering section. The ride will take you past hot fire jugglers, through a disco party rest stop (where you can be a wallflower or join the action) and drop you right back where you started for a midnight doughnut feast. The Night >Ride is a benefit for the Bicycle Transportation Alliance.

The festivities get started right across from the train station at 8:00 pm. There will be prizes for the best pajama clad and costumed riders, so don't be shy. TriMet will be on hand to demystify using a bus bike rack and answer all your transit questions. The Last Regiment Syncopated Drummers will send riders off with their signature resounding beat and all 2,000 riders will receive free glow-necklaces to ward off vampires along the way. Daytime rides are for chumps, it's time for The Night Ride

AN INCREDIBLE ROUTE
15 mile routes in Portland don't get much better than this.   First, we'll get you right out of the city with a ride over the river.   You'll soon go up Mississippi Ave. to cruise past hoards of nighttime spectators - your own personal cheering section.   An amazing stretch along Willamette Blvd. affords you some of the best views of Portland at night: the river and the cityscape.   We'll even take you along the Peninsula Crossing trail and other tranquil off road paths, into a disco party rest stop, and then straight back to downtown Portland in time for the finish line doughnut feast.

PRIZES FOR COSTUMES
